Jennifer studied classical ballet and contemporary dance for many years. She also had some incredibly fun and rewarding years as a professional dancer. During the early years in her dance career, she discovered a passion and talent for teaching. She has taught ballet, contemporary dance and choreography for over ten years. She has also been leading Pilates, strength conditioning and barre classes in the Valley since 2015.
In her youth, she struggled with anorexia and depression. At the age of 21, she was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis – a debilitating and chronic autoimmune disease that infects the lower intestine. She had a hard time balancing all of the medication that was prescribed with keeping my body and mind feeling healthy and happy. She was tired of being sick and tired. Over the years, she has been able to refocus her Western medical treatment to include a healthy anti-inflammatory diet as well as natural pain and stress relief through the use of hemp, micro doses of medical cannabis, a regular yoga and meditation practice, acupressure and Traditional Chinese Medicine with Chi Gong Healing.
Jennifer holds a 500 hour yoga teacher training distinction and is am constantly adding new methods of healing to her craft. With 600 hours of advanced yoga training through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, she is certified in I AM Yoga Nidra™ and Yin, Yoga for Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Hatha Gong™ Prenatal and Restorative Yoga.
Her passion is working with special populations such as MMA and BJJ athletes, veterans, those suffering from trauma, people in recovery, and those who suffer from illness and dis-ease. She feels humbled and honored to guide others on their journey toward self-healing.
